COMPLIANCE VERIFICATION ENGINEER – CABIN SAFETY

Part 21 Design International Ltd is experiencing significant growth and is currently looking for a suitably qualified candidate to fill the full time post of Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE).  The growth path for the successful applicant, as for all employees, is the chance to eventually fulfil the higher posts within the company.

Reporting directly to the Head of Airworthiness, the CVE will be responsible for the independent compliance verification checks of airworthiness documents.  This will involve ensuring projects are systematically planned, demonstrate compliance adherence, presenting all necessary documents accordingly and within timeframe.

This position involves project management, ongoing development of more junior members of the team and the management of subcontractors and vendors.

Applicants should:

  • be in possession of a degree or equivalent academic qualification in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
  • have 3 years’ solid experience in certification activities on CS23 or CS25 in a Design Organisation;
  • possess an understanding and be familiar with design requirements for scope of approval;
  • hold documented training in Design Organisation procedures, including certification and compliance verification on CS23 and CS25;
  • have a sound knowledge and understanding of Part 21 legislation; and
  • possess excellent communication and project and personnel management skills.

Applicants with relevant Part 66 Licence (or equivalent) or recent experience as a CVE in an EASA approved DOA with similar scope (CS25 and CS23) are also encouraged to apply.

This is an excellent opportunity for Design Engineers who consider themselves capable of making the transition to CVE or for an existing CVE interested in both developing their existing career and expanding to a Form 4 post holder position.

Part 21 Design International Ltd is experiencing significant growth and is currently looking for suitably qualified personnel to fill the full time post of Design Engineer (DE).  This role is available to junior / graduate engineers with no aviation experience and also to more experienced engineers with an aviation background. The growth path for the successful applicant, as for all employees, is the chance to eventually fulfil the higher posts within the company.

The Design Engineer will be responsible for the initial preparation of Airworthiness documents ranging from technical drawings, Service Bulletins to Test Reports and plans.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare engineering data (drawings, accomplishment work instruction instructions, technical and compliance reports) in accordance with the company’s Design handbook.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, MROs and the SUM Aviation Group team.
  • Participate in design reviews throughout each phase of the design in accordance with design office approvals (DOA).
  • Willingness to learn other aspects of engineering including testing, electrical, systems, structures etc.
  • Good time management and ability to work under pressure, as well as knowledge of computer applications to be able to create necessary documented process and procedures.
  • Good ability with AutoCAD to deliver designs in accordance with DOA and create design packages.

  • Be in possession of a degree or equivalent academic qualification in Aeronautical or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Have a good knowledge of ACAD or similar program. This would be an advantage but is not essential for the role as training will be given.

MRO PLANNING ASSISTANT – MALTA

Further to continued expansion, Bravo Aircraft Technical Services Ltd (BATS), a subsidiary of the SUM Aviation Group, providing aircraft line and limited base maintenance at both Malta International Airport and locations in Turkey, is currently seeking to recruit a full time Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Planning Assistant to join its dynamic team.

The MRO Planning Assistant will play an integral role within the Production Planning Team, reporting to the Head of Planning (HOP) and the Maintenance Manager (MM).

The main responsibilities include:

  • Receive and assess customer work requests and communicate with the HOP for work acceptance, i.e. within the ‘Scope of Work’.
  • Ensure the availability of all necessary personnel (including third party support), tools, equipment, material, maintenance data, parts, and facilities whilst monitoring the maintenance work is to schedule, and environment conditions for safe completion thereof.
  • Strategic planning and monitoring of maintenance tasks in accordance with the roster, consider human performance limitations, adhering to safety compliance and raise additional task cards as required.
  • Process customers’ documentation training, distribute to involved personnel across departments, ensure all essential training is completed, liaise with HOP, MM & Quality Manager.
  • Efficiently process administrative tasks including quotes, work orders, purchase and sales orders, invoices and assign resources, also review tech log pages/customer documentation received from FSEs, and record all in MRO software system.
  • Review daily/monthly reports & work orders received from approved line stations & save in SharePoint software system.
  • Liaise with the HOP and MM for the coordination of AOG requests.
  • Maintain customer database.
  • Consider the aircraft slot plan for line and base maintenance.
  • Monitor work progress, liaise with customer, raise additional task cards as required during as necessary.

Qualifications, Experience and Requirements

The successful MRO Planning Assistant should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Possess a relevant Technical Aviation Diploma/technical qualification in aircraft maintenance and Part-66 Licence.
  • Relevant  work experience to competently fulfil the role and responsibilities.
  • Successful strategic planner capable of working under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, hardworking and highly organised.
  • Flexible to work day/night shift pattern.
  • Proficient computer skills including experience of MRO software system (ideally MRX, although training will be provided).
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Full, clean driving licence and clean police record.

Bravo Aircraft Technical Services (BATS), a subsidiary of SUM Aviation Group is currently seeking to recruit a full-time Technical Stores Supervisor to join its young and dynamic team.

The Stores Supervisor is mainly responsible for GSE / tooling / parts / material / stores safety equipment.

The chosen candidate would also be responsible for:

  • Purchasing tools / equipment / parts and consumables on request with the approval of the Maintenance Manager and Accountable Manager;
  • Maintaining and monitoring the database of tools/equipment, including GSE;
  • Issuing the yearly due item list;
  • Responsible for maintenance and inspection, preventive maintenance, scheduling repairs, of all GSE / tooling and delegate to MM to assign other staff for assistance if required;
  • Maintaining the calibration / inspection history report for tools and equipment and update in the system, updating labels on all tooling / equipment;
  • Ensuring that incoming inspection, including a review of documentation (calibration if required), is performed when loaning tool / equipment and input in the system;
  • Ensuring that tool shelving and toolbox inventory list / markings are set up and maintained;
  • Checking each toolbox checklist for completeness monthly;
  • Ensuring that the process for alternate tooling is conducted and well documented within the system;
  • Entering calibration service providers and suppliers in the system;
  • Removing tool / equipment / materials / parts from a serviceable area when unserviceable / defective / due and indicate condition in system and label. Take the necessary action for rectification / discard;
  • Ensuring that all MSDS are stored electronically and hard copies filed in the main store;
  • Ensuring that customer parts / components are stored accordingly indicating customer property on the system;
  • Procurement and re‐stock of parts / material from approved suppliers;
  • Ensuring that the main store and additional store locations are maintained with periodic review including safety equipment and delegating to MM to assign other staff for assistance if required;
  • Ensuring that the temperature / humidity control of the stores are maintained and recorded accordingly;
  • Performing the incoming inspection of the material as outlined in the incoming inspection procedure and ensuring that only acceptable parts and supplies will be accepted;
  • Tampering with unsalvageable items and discarding them accordingly;
  • Informing the Maintenance Manager when receiving material / parts / tooling / equipment without appropriate documentation and taking the necessary action;
  • Ensuring that older material is used first and that shelf‐life expired products are eliminated from stock;
  • Preparing any required shipments according;
  • Liaising with other departments such as quality, planning etc for coordination;
  • Approval and control of suppliers.

Qualifications, experience and requirements
The successful candidate should minimum meet the following requirements:

  • Possess a relevant technical secondary school diploma or technical qualification in aircraft maintenance;
  • Have aviation stores and logistics experience;
  • Be proficient in computer skills including aviation stores software and Microsoft suite;
  • Be competent in speaking, writing, and understanding the English language.
